 Dr. Dennis Brtva

Dr. Dennis Brtva attended Illinois State University before entering the Illinois College of Optometry. He graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science degree and a Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Brtva has been practicing in Bloomington, IL for 19 years and in Peoria, IL for 16 years. He is a member of the Bloomington Regional Optometric Society, the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Brtva is a past president of the Bloomington Regional Optometric Society and will serve as President of the Illinois Optometric Association in 2010.
Dr. Brtva has extensive experience in the evaluation and fitting of specialty or "hard to fit" contact lenses. He has had the opportunity to test many new contact lens designs before they've reached the market. Dr. Brtva is certified in the evaluation and management of Corneal Refractive Therapy contact lenses. He is committed to providing the highest quality of care and products to his patients.

Dr. Christopher Wetzler
|
Dr. Christopher Wetzler joined Dr. Dennis Brtva & Associates in July 2001. He is licensed to practice optometry in all areas, from glasses and contacts, the diagnosis and monitoring of cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease, and the treatment of many eye diseases, including dry eye, eye infections, and glaucoma. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Tomb and Key Honor Fraternity, which recognizes those who have achieved excellence in Optometric studies and have been found to possess the character and leadership befitting a practitioner of the profession of Optometry. He has received rigorous education and training at:

Dr. Wetzler was born and raised in Peoria and is a 1991 graduate of Richwoods High School. He resides in Eureka with his wife and three children.

Dr. Eric Norell
|
Dr. Eric Norell is a lifelong central Illinois resident. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.
Dr. Norell completed internships at the Illinois Eye Institute and Sydney-Hillman Health Center specializing in primary care, ocular disease, and low vision. Dr. Norell's areas of interest include contact lens fitting, ocular disease management, pediatrics, and primary care.
Dr. Norell is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association Cornea and Contact Lens Section, and the Illinois Society for the Prevention of Blindness. Dr. Norell lives in Normal with his wife and two children. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and watching sports.

Dr. Kyle D. Mayginnes
|
Kyle D. Mayginnes, OD practices primary care optometry, which includes prescribing glasses, fitting contact lenses, treatment and management of ocular diseases, and co-managing eye surgery.
Dr. Mayginnes graduated with Dean's List honors from the University of Missouri, College of Optometry in St. Louis in 1989 were he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. His undergraduate studies were at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.
In April, 2007 he joined Dr. Dennis M. Brtva & Associates after having been in practice in the Peoria area since 1989. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Illinois Optometric Association, and is a past President of the Illinois Valley Optometric Society.

Dr. Kathy Vize

Dr. Kathy Vize is originally from Normal, IL and joined Dr. Brtva and Associates in 2002. She has a Bachelor of Science degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Western Illinois University, and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at Illinois College of Optometry in 2002. Dr. Vize is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. |
