Dr. Ashley Foster attended Eastern Illinois University where she graduated with University Honors, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 2015. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry (Cum Laude) in 2019, also earning clinical honors for patient care at WJB Dorn VAMC in Columbia, SC and Visionary Eye Care Professionals in Chicago, IL. She is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. She practices all aspects of optometry including glasses, contacts, ocular health management, and pre- and post-operative care.
Dr. Foster was born and raised in Charleston, IL. She now resides in Bloomington, IL with her fiancé. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, going to the movies, and watching football – Go Chicago Bears!
Dr. Dennis Brtva attended Illinois State University before entering the Illinois College of Optometry. He graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science degree and a Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Brtva has been practicing in Bloomington, IL for 19 years and in Peoria, IL for 16 years. He is a member of the Bloomington Regional Optometric Society, the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Brtva is a past president of the Bloomington Regional Optometric Society and served as President of the Illinois Optometric Association in 2010. Dr. Brtva is a leading Peoria eye doctor.
Dr. Brtva has extensive experience in the evaluation and fitting of specialty or "hard to fit" contact lenses. He has had the opportunity to test many new contact lens designs before they've reached the market. Dr. Brtva is certified in the evaluation and management of Corneal Refractive Therapy contact lenses. He is committed to providing the highest quality of care and products to his patients.

Dr. Christopher Wetzler joined Dr. Dennis Brtva & Associates in July 2001. He is licensed to practice optometry in all areas, from glasses and contacts, the diagnosis and monitoring of cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease, and the treatment of many eye diseases, including dry eye, eye infections, and glaucoma. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association, Illinois Valley Optometric Society, and the Tomb and Key Honor Fraternity, which recognizes those who have achieved excellence in Optometric studies and have been found to possess the character and leadership befitting a practitioner of the profession of Optometry. Dr. Hermann graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Bradley University in Peoria, IL in 1998. In 2003, he earned his Doctorate of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. There he was an honor student receiving awards for clinical assistance and practice management.
Dr. Tyson J. Herrmann has provided eye care in Central Illinois for the past thirteen years. Dr. Herrmann is a therapeutically licensed optometrist. He brings experience in treating a full spectrum of patients, ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations. He provides primary eye care examinations with treatment and management of ocular diseases including glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and dry eye syndrome; pre- and post-operative care; comprehesive contact lens services including both rigid gas permeable and soft contact lenses for extended wear, color enhancement, presbyopia, astigmatism, dry eyes, and keratoconus.
